Registered Tangible Cultural Property has been carefully renovated to combine traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comfort. The building is composed of 16 unique guest rooms and 1 private villa, each with its own distinct design. Surrounded by the lush nature of Izu and the gentle sound of the river, guests can enjoy a serene stay steeped in history and tranquility.

Rooms

Each guest room ranges from 50 to 80 square meters and accommodates 1 to 4 guests. Room features vary by type, such as open-air baths, bed style (futons or Western beds), and layout. We will be happy to recommend the most suitable room for you at the time of inquiry.

Villa

A 547-square-meter, three-story villa renovated from the former residence of Ochiairou's founding family -- a Registered Cultural Property. 3 bedrooms, open-air and indoor baths, a sauna, a spacious living room, and a dining area. Accommodating up to 12 guests, this exceptional private retreat is ideal for families or groups of friends.

Prices for rooms differ depending on room type and seasonality, generally starting from 75,000 yen / person for double occupancy under the standard plan, including dinner and breakfast.

Transportation

By car (from Tokyo)

It takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to reach Ochiairo from the Tokyo metropolitan area by car (depending on traffic conditions).

The property is located about 45 minutes from either the Shin-Tomei Expressway "Nagatsura-Numazu IC" or the Tomei Expressway "Numazu IC."

By train (from Tokyo)

Tokyo - (Shinkansen Kodama, approx. 1 hour) - Mishima - (Izu-Hakone Railway, approx. 35 minutes) - Shuzenji - (Taxi approx. 15 minutes, or local bus approx. 30 minutes to "Yugashima") - Ochiairo

Free Shuttle Service (Advance Reservation Required)

Complimentary shuttle service is available from Shuzenji Station North Exit at the following times: 14:15 / 15:15 / 16:15 / 17:15

If you would like to use the shuttle, please inform us of your arrival time at Shuzenji Station at least 3 days in advance.
