Sample Itinerary (8-hour tour)

Start your day in Yoyogi Hachiman area, an upscale, but not snobbish residential area close to famous Meiji Jingu Shrine and Harajuku. This area is home to a number of small tasty bakeries and unique shops. Visit Yoyogi Hachimangu Shrine, a forested shrine that is known only to local people. Many celebrities live in this area and visit this shrine secretly as it is believed to bring you professional success. Inside the shrine, there is a small Inari shrine that is said to bring you a promotion on your job. Pray at the shrine to hope for your good luck and enjoy the peaceful moment in Tokyo.

Then, enjoy wandering around the area with your guide and try one or some of the bakeries. There are many local bakeries in this area that are loved by not just by local people, but also people from other areas in Tokyo who crave for great bakeries. If you feel like having something sweet, visit a famous chocolate shop named Musée du Chocolat Théobroma, founded by Koji Tsuchiya, one of Japan's top chocolatiers. There is a wide selection of chocolates and baked sweets that you can find something suitable for every chocolate lover.

For lunch, walk to Yoyoghi Uehara, which is ranked as one of the best places to live in Tokyo for having both good access to central Tokyo and tranquil atmosphere at the same time. Although it is a residential area, you will be surprised to encounter both local and stylish restaurants. There are actually many restaurants that are highly reviewed by famous Japanese gourmet website and that have received Bib Gourmand (reasonable yet tasty restaurants) from Michelin guidebook, such as pizza with Japanese ingredients, Sushi and gluten-free restaurant. Your guide will recommend a restaurant based on your preference.

After lunch, move to Nakameguro, which has enhanced a reputation as one of Tokyo's trendiest districts, with stylish cafes, boutiques and shops. Trend-conscious young adults are gathering and spending their weekend here. Visit a craft shop named SML, where creators' works especially tableware are collected from all over Japan by the owner. The world's fifth and the Japan's first Starbucks Reserve Roastery is also in this area. Its building was designed by Japanese famous architect, Kengo Kuma. In cherry blossom seasons, many people come to enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms blooming along the Meguro River.

While exploring the area, mouthwatering smell of fluffy pancakes will take you to one of the nice cafes. It is time to take a break after walking around. Not just the pancakes but all the tasty sweets will be tempting that you might have difficult time to choose.
