I started Michi Travel Japan with a belief that it would be wonderful if we could satisfy the unmet needs of international travelers to Japan who want personalized luxury experiences.
I spent 12 years at the Development Bank of Japan, mainly in the field of corporate finance and M&A advisory. As an ex-banker, I would like both leisure travelers and business travelers to explore Japan and appreciate Japan's diversifed attractiveness.
When I was younger, I traveled to many countries. Trekking in Nepal, visiting time-honored beautiful villages in Europe, floating in the Dead Sea, and visiting spectacular national parks in the United States are some of my lifelong memories. |
|
Among my favorite places in Japan, the ones I prefer most are tranquil and peaceful places. Because I was born and raised in Nara and spent my college days in Kyoto, both of which are old capitals of Japan, I hope you have time to explore their unique culture and to visit the hidden gems. In addtion to the unique culture, the excuisite nature in Japan is also highly recommended.

I joined Michi Travel Japan because it is a travel company that really cares about their clients and wants to help them explore and understand the real Japan.
I was born and spent my early childhood and high school years in the United States. For college, I chose to go back to Japan to attend the University of Kyoto to study Japanese law and international relations. I also wanted to know and experience my culture as a Japanese. During summer and winter vacations, I traveled all over Japan, including Hokkaido, Tokyo, Izu, Nagano, Nara, Wakayama, Kobe, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, and Okinawa, not to mention Kyoto which is like my backyard. |
|
After graduating, I decided to work for NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation), the largest broadcasting network in Japan. Covering stories such as 9.11 and the Middle East Conflict, I wanted the Japanese people to understand what was happening in the world by providing accurate facts with clear and comprehensible presentation.
At Michi Travel Japan, I try to do the same thing by listening to my client's needs and providing the right information, with a few extra things in extra to help them enjoy their trip! |

I decided to join Michi Travel Japan because the company features personalized services enabling clients to explore my country according to their own needs. For the discriminating guests seeking unique ways to experience Japan, I would like to support them in creating memorable and enjoyable travels.
Born and raised in Tokyo, I have been passionate about gourmet food since I was a child. After graduated from college, I worked in the office for Development Bank of Japan and Toyota F1 Team. After work I took Japanese cooking classes and went to restaurants to find good food. |
|
To pursue my gourmet interest, I studied cuisine and pastry at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute in Ottawa, Canada. I worked as a cook on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner, a French registered "six-star" cruise ship. Traveling all over the world, it was a great opportunity to create menus for passengers as well as meet people from various backgrounds.
I have traveled many parts of Japan, especially northern and eastern parts. My favorite destinations are Hokkaido and Wajima. Bon Voyage! |
