Just an hour and a half away from the bustle of Tokyo, you will encounter the beautiful nature and hotspring of Hakone.  Ohan is a modern Japanese ryokan nestled in a quiet mountainside on Sukumo River.  During summer, you can open the large window facing the river, and listen to the gentle sound of the limpid stream.  There is also a narrow path from the ryokan that leads down to the stream, where children can enjoy playing in water.    The lobby and the guest rooms are in a different buiding connected with an outdoor corridor with roof, and each room is connected to the corridor with a bridge.  Every room is spacious with a small adjoining room and a cypress bath, with hotspring.    The large shared hotspring bath, also made with cypress, has its windows fully open so that guest can enjoy the mountain scenery while relaxing in the bath.
