Message from Michi Travel Japan following earthquake on March 11, 2011

March 15, 2011

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to those who have lost their lives and convey our sympathies to the bereaved families and others suffering from the devastating earthquake and tsunami which struck Japan on March 11, 2011.

We have received many warm messages from our friends living abroad. We thank you all for being so thoughtful and caring about Japan and sharing hopes with us.

The damage in Tohoku region caused by this crisis is unprecedented. In addition to the enormous earthquake and tsunami, nuclear power plants in Fukushima were severely damaged and situation is still uncertain. It is no doubt that Japan will face tough times.

However, we are proud to let you know how determined Japanese are to recover from these challenging circumstances. We are coping with this tragedy in a very calm matter with a sense of solidarity.

All of our customers are safe. All the staffs at Michi Travel Japan are also safe. Our life here in Tokyo is now getting back to normal, if not exactly the same as before, such as possibility of planned power cut. We are focused on our work, trying to make the best possible advice to our customers on their future plans to visit Japan as well as discovering new inspiring experiences we can offer to our future customers.

We hope that the days will soon come when the nuclear concern is dispelled and we can announce that a visit to Japan is without any concern. Let us emphasize that our fundamental strength and beauty of this country – unique culture, excellent food, scenic beauty and, above all, friendly and nice people - are unchanged. We are looking forward to creating your memorable Japan holiday.

Sincerely,

Seiichi Chada

Michi Travel Japan
