Tsubaki

Yugawara Onsen [Kanagawa Prefecture]

Tsubaki_Appearance.jpg

Tsubaki is an elegant traditional Japanese ryokan situated in the serene mountains of Oku-yugawara, a hot spring town in Fuji-Hakone Izu National Park. As the name "Tsubaki" (meaning camelia) symbolizes, there are more than 100 types of camelias, adding up to 2000 camelia trees within the ryokan premises, along with other flowers blooming during each season.

Most rooms are spacious with either two Japanese tatami straw mat rooms or one tatami room plus a bedroom. Within the 29 rooms that are equipped with private baths, 10 have open-air hot spring baths where guests can relax and rejuvenate enjoying the greenery and fresh air. In addition, some rooms face the peaceful pond within the Japanese garden.
There are also indoor and open-air public baths separated by gender. After your body is warmed up by the hot spring, you can enjoy complimentary beer or tea at the lounge located right outside the baths from 3 - 6 pm.

For dinner, enjoy a traditional Japanese kaiseki course utilizing specially selected seasonal local ingredients that are presented in artistically beautiful dishes. It will be served in your room.
